Manchester United News: After his loan stay with Everton came to an end, Donny van de Beek issued a message to the club’s supporters.
Following the end of the Premier League season, Van de Beek will return to Manchester United to work under his former Ajax boss Erik ten Hag.
After sliding down the pecking order under interim manager Ralf Rangnick, the Dutch midfielder joined Everton on loan for the remainder of the season in January.
For the Toffees, the 25-year-old made five starts in seven Premier League games. He scored once in a 5-1 loss at Arsenal on Sunday. He played 484 minutes in total for Everton, just a few minutes more than he did for United in the first half of the season.

Van van Beek loved his time at Everton under Lampard’s leadership, despite his minimal personal influence. “Not the way we planned to end the season,” he commented on Instagram, “but we already met our goal a few days ago.”
“I’d like to express my gratitude to all of the players, staff, and, most importantly, the fans who supported us through good and bad times. Toffees, up!”
With a 3-2 win over Crystal Palace on Thursday, Everton secured their Premier League survival for another season. Despite being certain of survival, Lampard made numerous changes to his starting lineup for the season’s last game on Sunday at the Emirates Stadium.
After starting the game on the bench, Van de Beek came on in the 37th minute for Abdoulaye Doucoure. Lewin’s tap-in just before half-time made it 2-1, but Arsenal dominated the second half.
Erik Ten Hag is eagerly anticipating the arrival of the Dutchman.

Van de Beek will now return to his parent club, where Ten Hag awaits him, following a little sabbatical. At Ajax, Van de Beek played 175 times and helped the club reach the Champions League semi-final in 2019.
His £40 million move to United in the summer of 2020 hasn’t gone according to the plan. However, Ten Hag’s appointment at Old Trafford provides him with a fresh start. The 52-year-old is confident in his ability to extract the greatest performance from the midfielder.
What did Ten Hag say?
Ten Hag was asked whether he was looking forward to working with Van de Beek again during his first press conference as United manager. He responded, “Of course. At Ajax at the time, we had a wonderful squad. He and I had a fantastic friendship. Of course, I hope to see him on the field again.”
Ten Hag left Ajax six weeks early to join United, who finished sixth in the Premier League with 58 points from 38 games. The players were scheduled to return for pre-season training on July 4, as exclusively reported by Mirror Football, but Ten Hag wants some of them to report for duty the week of June 20.
