HITC understands that Everton are confident that they have won the race for Napoli’s Jesper Lindstrom.
The Toffees are now closing in on their fourth signing of the summer as they look to finalise a deal for the 24-year-old winger.
Iliman Ndiaye, Tim Iroegbunam and Jack Harrison have all completed moves to Goodison Park this summer, with the latter joining on another loan deal after spending last season with Everton.
But after raising funds through the sales of Amadou Onana, Ben Godfrey and Lewis Dobbin, Everton have moved quickly to reinvest and strengthen their squad.
HITC revealed last week that Everton had come to an agreement with Napoli for an initial loan deal for Jesper Lindstrom.
Everton are now confident that they have beaten a host of European clubs to his signature and that they will win the race to sign him.
Jesper Lindstrom set for Everton medical
With both clubs and Lindstrom agreeing to the move, the pieces are falling into place for the deal to be finalised shortly.
HITC understands that Everton want Lindstrom in England to undergo a medical before the weekend begins.
With pre-season friendlies against Salford City and Coventry City coming up over the next week, Everton fans may get their first glimpse at Lindstrom in Everton colours sooner than anticipated.
The 24-year-old winger shone at Eintracht Frankfurt and ended up making a £25million move to Napoli last summer.
During his time in the Bundesliga, Lindstrom was praised by Frankfurt teammate Kevin Trapp as an “outstanding footballer“.

However, the Dane struggled to settle in Italy and ended last season without scoring or assisting for the Serie A outfit.
Napoli have now moved on to new winger targets, allowing Lindstrom to leave and strike a deal with Everton.
